I apologize if I look like a complete idiot, but my lack of electrical knowledge/skills has got me frustrated for a while now. Months ago my map light bulbs went out so I tried doing some research on what type of bulbs I needed to replace them with. I got a few mixed answers but went with the one that seemed the most legit. I picked up these bulbs a long time ago, but never put them in because I was afraid of messing something up. Are these the right kind? 1895 type, says 14V, 3.8w on the side.
Thanks
Ok so I go to put them in and I notice it says "12V 10W" when you take off the light cover. To be 100% sure, those are still the bulbs you're supposed to use? I'm not interested in LEDs right now but thanks anyway lol

Lol your taking more precaution than need be. Just put them in lol
The map light bulb that Nissan uses (12 volt, 10 watt), is not a standard bulb that you can buy in an auto parts store. It is only available through Nissan.
Any bulb that has a BA9s base will work. The 1895 bulb will work, but it is only 3.5 watts, so it will not be as bright. There is a 1893 bulb that is brighter at 4.6 watts.
An led lamp is brighter than the Nissan bulb, but you need to be careful of polarity. The Nissan socket is reverse polarity of most led lamps. Look for non polarized or ones with plug-able connections.
