99' 5spd SE

I found a 99' 5spd fully loaded w/ 12.4k miles!! I thought that was pretty awesome. It has every option available and they are only wanting 17k for it. I was talking my mom into selling my car and me paying what I could on the difference and she said no. She told me for my birthday she would buy me a new engine and do a 5spd conversion. I think it's ridiculous and told her it was all her that I wasn't paying for it because I would rather have the other car. How much do you think that would cost for 5spd conversion plus a new engine. (this coming from my mother is nothing unusal, she isn't the brightest person when it comes to common since.)

Actually, yours is a really nice car (if that is yours - 97?) The miles look kind of high 134K but looks good! 17K for a '99 with low miles sounds pretty tempting though!

I would bet a lot of money you could find a 2k-2k1 for 17k. Maxima resale values aren't anything special, and this one isn't that great of a deal. If you do want this car, you can and should get the price down a lot.

(I'd rather have the 4th gen too, just helping you keep your options open)

Just ran the '99 through edmunds.com....

...and it came up with about $17k if it's through a private seller plus or minus a couple $100 due to color and regional adjustments. So you should be able to talk them down some, maybe even into the $15k range. Also, since its a 4th gen, all your mods will swap over. I got mine back in July for $14,750 from an Acura dealership . But mine had more miles and less options, still it was a few grand below Blue Book value.
Hope this was helpful.

Yeah 17 is a little high IMO. But 15.5 to 16 may bein the ballpark if its loaded. Unless you're a Max enthusiast its hard to unload a 5 speed Max.
