[Help] *Video* Hard Start 97 Maxima

I have had this problem for about 6 months now.

First problem - I have to step on gas to get the car to start.
Second Problem - Sometimes when the key is turned it wont start, just clicks.

*Replaced Fuel pressure regulator already with a used OEM one from ebay.

Please post any helpful information below.

Thanks!

Second problem sounds like your starter (solenoid) is bad

What would usually go first - Ignition switch or Starter?

Alright, I will buy a new starter then. Also, it happens when take is full as well

Will a new starter also fix the problem where I have to step on the gas for the car to start?

Apologize ahead of time for drifting the subject away from the OP

I've been having starting issues also. It either takes a long first turn of the key or 2 turns. I have a code for the Crankshaft position sensor. I replaced it 3 times & I'm still having the issue. No codes for anything else. It's becoming a real PITA.

I also checked/cleaned the other Crankshaft REF sensor & the camshaft sensor. They were fine. This hard start is STARTING to pissing me off

Go with ignition switch first if you're just throwing parts at it. Have you tried wiggling the key while starting the car? Try that as it's free. If that works, then it is the switch. Do you have problems with interior lights or anything else? You might have two problems like Wizard cryptically alluded too.
