Lowered 2" and new axle already popping

Car is sitting on Megan lowering springs (2"), just replaced both cv axles roughly a month ago and my driver's side is already popping.

For those who are lowered at this point or even more, how long did it take for your new axles to start popping?

I read up in this issue alot. I've seen people having no problems with up to 1.5" drop.

I did a 1.5" drop with eibach springs and new struts, a year later no problems.. I think if you lower the car more than 1.75" inches..that's when it becomes a issue. Besides 1.5"inch drop looks just fine for me and the gap is reasonable

I knew it was a common problem if you are down past 1.5" but I didn't think it would happen this fast.

Depends on the axles too.

OEMs are best and if you can find a place to rebuild them without cutting and oversizing the ends, that's also the way to go. Any machining will reduce the angle of deflection and put more stress on the joints at an angle. For whatever reason, new aftermarket axles are the same way.

I've had limited success with Tough Ones compared to Auto Parts International, and NAPA rebuilds.

I think you got poor quality axles. I'm way lower than 1.5" to 2" on coilovers, and haven't had any issues in years. OEM axles here.

Ah that's why, you have OEM. I should have got those!
