ABS Speed Sensor cable split

the abs light came on; code 31 indicated that the right rear abs speed sensor has an "open circuit." a visual revealed that the cable is separated; it seems to have split right where the rubber grommet thingy attaches near the caliper. is it possible to just splice the cable back together? how many wires run inside the cable? any chance of getting a good used one or does removal destroy them?

thanks in advance for any help.

Soldering the wire would be OK if you have the room to do it. If the wires are broken too close to the sensor, then it may not be possible. There are 2 wires in the cable.

Getting a junkyard replacement is OK.
