I have a 96 maxima and I read about the engine light coming on if you don't position the air sensor right after you put on the after market intake. So after I put on the intake and turned the engine on the check engine light came on. I was told to wait about 2 weeks and it would go out. And guess what about 2 weeks later it did go out. Did the ECU reset itself what happend to make it go out?? I didn't take it any where or reset it.

 

If it went away... then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. It's when it comes ON, you should take notice.
