Decent wheel hubs assemblies?

I can only seem to find Dorman / Dura brand wheel hubs for my 99 Maxima at this point... I'll use them if I must but I'd much prefer to spend more money and get good ones. Do any better manufacturers make wheel hub assemblies anymore?

Have you checked the dealer, or Rockauto ?

Just did my 99 SE with NSK Bearings, Timken retainer clips and APC Seals. Around $110 total both sides. Shop around. All bought from different places.

NSK Bearings and APC Seals: http://www.ebay.com/itm/252199427059...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Timken Part Number: RET119 (2 per side)

Much of the time, if done before really trashing everything, the hub (and lug studs) are fine, but you don't really know that until it's apart.

If I were going to buy a Hub with lug studs, I'd go OEM since NSK doesn't market them. Nissan/Infinity Supersceded part number: 40202-31U10

I'm not sure if the studs are included, so check on that. Shop around for best DELIVERED prices.

Not cheap!

Wish I had better news.

Hope this helps.

Helps a lot! I've got the cheapies on the way, and I'll swap them - but I'm sure to use some anti-seize on the back and moly lube on the CV axle splines so it won't be hard to get them off again if they decide to die prematurely.

I'll remember this post and come back if I need to replace them soon.

I thought Dorman was "decent." I recently put a Dorman hub (from RockAuto) on my passenger side when I replaced the wheel bearing. It seems to be doing a fine job.

+1

While replacing my wheel bearings last summer I pressed on new Dorman hub assemblies. Rockauto sold them for only $18 each. They were the same weight as OEM hubs and have held fine since then.

Good to know! I've got the car on jacks and I'm finally getting started. I'll keep that in mind if I have to do the wheel hub assemblies again.
