did nwp make an egr block off plate for the 4th gen?

i found a thread for the 6th gen, but never saw if one was ever made for the 4th gen. sick of the egr codes that keep popping up, just bought a new egr valve/solenoid and saw this thread.

thanks, would be interested not just for myself but for anyone else that who haves the dreaded egr issues. and if it's do-able, will it throw other codes i have to deal with?

I can't imagine that if you simply remove the EGR from the system that the ECU won't see an issue and get upset.

I've not had any experience with this in the Maxima but in other OBDI and OBDII vehicles the EGR has to "tuned" out of the ECU to avoid/eliminate the DTC.

Roll with this for the intake manifold:

You throw a nickel in the exhaust manifold tube hole and tighten the nut that holds the EGR tube down on it. I did it without copper rtv and no leaks. Use copper rtv if you're worried.
