Stripped Compression Rod Bushing Clamp Bolts - Bolt sizes?

I'm curious if anyone has the specs for the original bolts:



Those are the two bolts I've mucked up.

Here is a picture of the plate on the car (on the other side):

Looks like I'm not the first to strip these out.

Going to try a tap and die on the pre-existing hole / bolts and see if we can get it to stick before going up a notch.

I just came in from the garage after i wake up i will check i have some laying around . I just die and taped mine before i put them in. I will check with the die see what size they are.

So my friend ended up finding an M14x1.5 nut which helped guide new threads on the partially stripped bolt.

He used a 1/2 inch (not sure what the pitch was...) tap that was *very* similar to the M14x1.5 to remove a chunk of metal that had formed when trying to reinsert the original bolt.

Guided back in carefully, both bolts went
in and tightened to torque! Gonna try to avoid doing that again... hopefully these lower control arms will last another 150k, so odds are I won’t be messing with them
again anyway. We’ll see!
