Removing ECU

I can access the two 10mm in the front but the rear is impossible to get to.
I decided to remove it by unscrewing the 4 screws on the base and possibly sliding it out. What tool do you guys use for this? It is not a hex head but rounded screws.

Here's the deal on ECU screws. They look like Phillips, but they are Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) screws.

Take a look through this thread. You might be able to get a 1/4 inch offset driver set and file off the tip of the Phillps head driver to somewhat make a JIS driver.

why they never told anyone about this little secret with their goddamn screws is beyond me. are all screws on the maxima incuding the door the same? i couldn't get the screws off the door light actuator ( rubber piece over door pin ) and think i might have stripped them.
