95 maxima p0400 code
Do some research. Instructions are in the faq.
You can watch videos of this task on you tube.
I cleaned the egr housing and door handle.
the hardest part was sawing the end of the stud off so that I could remove the nut.
Note that you need to buy three specific gaskets . Have them on hand before you start.
Two look quite similar, but are not interchangable.

Removing and replacing it is almost impossible, as others have stated.
If you can get it off (and back on), you might as well buy a new tube (don't forget to buy new gaskets!). The tube is around $40. Buying a new tube isn;t totally necessary, but you may find it easier and more convenient to just replace it rather than waiting hours to clean the old one. It will be less downtime without your car.
You can always still clean the old tube anyway, and swap that one if the EGR clogs again later.
But it might be easier to just cut a piece of the tube off, a little below where the temperature sensor screws on, and a few inches below that. Cut that segment off, unscrew the tube, fish out some of the carbon chippings, then once you cleared it, take the section of the tube you cut off and JB weld it back on.

I don't see the point of it, i just removed mine 100%. With a 95 ecu and resister my code never came on.
The facts are the 01 max i have now is the same motor, but didn't come with the EGR from the factory.
I put a plug in the EM.
But the problem with the ORG now, is all this has been posted. but the search is nearly worthless now. All this stuff has been figured out and discovered but the history is being dumped.
