Take a look at the view ..my 4th gen farewell

I have owned a 4th gen consecutively for the last 20 years.

Now the streak is broken when i wake up tomorrow .My 96 SE 5 speed was loaded like a GLE.
It was taken to the scrap yard today.I only drove it to work ,when i didn't go to work it sat.
I was more emotional than i thought i would be.

I wanted to take some final decent pictures to remember it.
The winters around me destroy cars, lots of salt.
I dropped the entire drive train out . 2001 engine and transmission. 112 k on the engine.
Oak in the background is 400 years plus.

I'm right there with you. Bought my 98 in 04 and it has to go. I started dismantling it this year. Rust rust rust. Good bye old friend.

Best of luck to you sir. IIRC, you had a bunch of really helpful posts that I searched through when I did my 00VI. Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge. The VI was my favorite mod that I had ever done to any car, and I learned a lot with that install. The sense of accomplishment when it fired up for the 1st time is unforgettable!

My 4th gen is long gone, but I can't leave this place. Be sure to stop by every so often.

It' sad when a car which one has owned for so long has to go.

Especially if the drive train is still good after all those years.

Hopefully you can find a car to put it in.

Thanks...
I miss that car ,my pearl 96 5 speed. First the 00VI then a 3.5 from a altima.

I stoped modding after that. Put a lot of time into it to have it get sent to the junk yard. ( car was hit by someone).

Here's some pics of the detail i did.RSX type S leather seats.Only installed one before accident.
Notice the relay box missing next to the PS reservoir ,oh that's gone to.

This is the car in my sig that ran a 12.72 all motor. Was on stock ECU with no tune.
