buying exhaust, need opinions...

i've decided that since i made $1100 this week at work, i am finally going to buy a cat back exhaust. nopi online has the greddy catback for like $557.14 and the hks catback for $338.57. has anyone tried both systems or have any distinguishing info? i have never dealt with any greddy stuff, but two of my friends have hks draggers on their supras. i like them as far as flow characteristics are concerned, but i don't really want my max to be that loud...

PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!!!!

sorry, i forgot to mention mine's a 5 speed. but i don't think that'd make too much difference. so, did the greddy do alright as far as making horsepower?

Re: buying exhaust, need opinions...

do you have a ypipe and cai? that'll amplify the sound of your exhaust even more. apexi catback has a similar sound to stock, maybe a little louder and greddy will increase sound more than apexi. never met anyone with an hks exhaust, only heard of the muffler. you might want to mix and match also. the catback is made up of a b-pipe and muffler, so look into courtesy's b-pipe and an hks or universal muffler. custom jobs are a little risky, you never really know what you're going to get, but hell sometimes they turn out even better than a brand name ones. good luck with your endeavors. peace
