I need help on this, I am looking at a 1999 maxima se, and there are no vin stickers anywhere on the usual place like fenders, doors, and trunk. The seller said in 1999 maxima doesn't have vin stickers. Is this true? If anyone can tell me about this info ASAP, I am really appreciated.

I would stay away from a car like that. It's probably stolen or been in a bad wreck. Does it have VIN numbers ANYWHERE? It really should have VIN at least in one place. If you find it, run a check on carfax.com. BEWARE!

I have a 99 max and i have the Vin # in all the places you listed, id beware of that, its probably stolen. Ask the guy to get it off the pink slip, and run a check, if he doesn't have it then, don't buy it...

yes, the car has the vin number on the dash near the windshield, and on the firewall in the engine compartment. The vin stickers I am talking about is the one that label on front fenders, trunk, and doors so if the car is stolen, the police "supposedly" can trace by the vin number, it is just a piece of sticker on the fenders.

Here you go man...

It was registered as a corporate fleet vehicle (since new). This can be looked at as good or bad. Some companies are good about maintanance stuff. BUT, you have people driving the car all the time who don't own it and chance are beat on it. If it doesn't have VIN stickers on the doors, trunk, hood, etc...I wouldn't touch it.

I have a 99 SE-L, baught it new. The only sticker I have is on the drivers door inner post. The other vin Plates are on the dashboard by the defroster and in the engine compartment on the fire wall, passenger side. No other stickers are on my fenders or any other doors. If that vin # sticker isn't on the driver side door post, under the latch, perhaps the car was hit and that post was refinished. I'd get a carfax report done.
