It's when you get enough torque when shifting between first and second that your tires spin, causing a "chirp" sound.

Even most automatic Maximas can do it. With a Valve Body Transmission Mod, i think they can do it into 3rd.

All manuals can do it no problem.

No stock auto maximas can't chirp second (as far as I know), with VB mod they can. I don't think they can chirp 3rd even with the VB upgrade.

I chirp my automagic every once in awhile, with brand new tires on it even (True, usually on cold mornings). That's how I know it can be done. As far as the VB Mod, I thought I heard someone talking about it, but maybe I'm wrong.

my sister has a 98 beetle and that chirps 3rd gear

i assume it also has a lot to do with the clutch setup. i mean beetle and torque arent usually in a sentence together without the words "lack thereof".

Ok well first I'll just tell you that it's not too good to your tires, drivetrain, clutch, etc. Everyone likes to have fun just make sure you are somewhat moderate You can launch your car and spin the tires by accellerating and letting the clutch out fairly quickly. Floor it all the way through first gear and when you shift to second clutch in, shift, and quickly let the clutch out. The same thing applies to 3rd gear, but if you're stock it will be much harder to spin 3rd. Enjoy your car but make sure that you take care of it as well.
