Battery light turns on a few minutes after starting

As the title says, battery light on my cluster turns on about 3 or 4 minutes after starting driving, and doesn't turn off until I stop the car. I haven't noticed anything else strange so far. The car starts normally and all the electrical system works well but my gauges -which were working bad long before this new issue-. Maybe it's something related with my alternator. I've checked the forum and it's said Nissan marks alternator issues with flashes on battery and brake lights, but it's not my case -althought I'm from Europe and maybe that rule dosen't apply here, idk-. Also, I've checked the battery and it shows 14,4V at idle, which I've been told it's OK.

Any suggestion? Thank you in advance.

As a precaution, check for a blown 7.5 amp fuse in the box under the dash. IIRC, Left column by the bottom.

Well, all fuses under the dash are cool, BUT I've found a blown 7.5amp fuse in the box under the hood, on driver's side. It's labelled as ALT.S

That's the "alternator sense" fuse.

It's associated with the voltage regulator and the regulator's function in sensing voltage from the alternator.

It makes sense that having blown, your battery light would illuminate with battery and charging system conditions being otherwise normal.

I've replaced that fuse today, but it has blown again. Not sure if the cause of this issue is the alternator or a short somewhere.

Prior to this issue did you do any work on the alternator ... replacement, wire disconnect/reconnect ... anything?

Both battery and alternator remain the same since I bought the car, and I haven't touched any of the wires of them. I replaced my alternator belt some months ago because the old one was squeezing so much. Maybe something related with tightness of that belt?

This being the case, I think I'd go through, disconnect all harness wiring from the alternator itself, fully clean and surface each connection and reattach.
