P1605 A/T diagnostics communication line help!!

So I noticed yesterday that my brake light & battery light when on at the same time. Originally I thought it was a sign of a bad alternator , than today I was driving to autozone and my headlights went out and my car stalled. I plugged in the code reader and the p1605 code came up, now I found an ECM for cheap but if it's the battery and not the ecm I could save alot of money I can't tell whether the battery is the reason for the ECM code or if it is just the ECM that needs replacing. Anyone experience this? I need help?

Autozone code

I would get the alternator tested, and most likely replace it. Most likely, that will clear up the the other issues.
