Capping Off Throttle Body Coolant Lines.

Capping Off Throttle Body Coolant Lines.
So I live in FL, where this feature is completely unnecessary and while the intake is off the car for other reasons, I'd like to get rid of those lines, that way its not a pain in the *** to take the intake off every time if I so choose to. I'm talking about the lines that are by the EGR tube by the way. The current coolant hoses are corroded and falling apart anyway, so I'd have to get new hoses if I wanted to keep the stock config.
Anybody have a strategy on how to get this done?

You certainly could cap them as suggested.
On the other hand, you could just take care of all deferred maintaince items at one time.
There would be no need to remove the uim for another decade, if ever.

User1, the title of this post refers to the coolant hoses which connect to the throttle body.
Your photo shows a hose which connects the coolant lines which normally connects to the back side of the uim.
So I'm saying that we are talking about two totally different things.

My pic shows a TB coolant bypass, exactly what OP needs. Granted it's a 2014 motor, but the principle remains the same.
And what the hell would the uim need coolant for?

the big black water hose on your engine is in the same place as similar hoses on the back of the 1996 engine I have. There are two of them . They really do attach to a small pipe on the bottom of the uim. The pipe is just a pass through from one hose to the other one. I suppose it's there to raise the hoses so they don't contact the uim stuff. They are a pita to disconnect from the uim . Which is why I bypassed mine.

Study the diagram closely, then realize we are talking about exactly the same thing

This may help not to bypass.
Separate TB from intake collector/manifold (4 bolts)
Remove cruise control actuator brackets (2 bolts), unplug the air tube.
Remove IACV (3 bolts). Once IACV off, you have a big passage to EGR guide tube bolts and access to coolant hose clips. For the left/pass. side coolant tube, leave the end attached to the collector untouched, unclip the other end.
