Have you considered buying a Maxima from a southern or western state?

Road salt isnt used in many of those areas.
Rust free cars are plentiful and cheap.

Hello. Thanks for the reply, I have reviewed both Maxima and Infiniti i30/

Fx35. My Maxima is a little different from a US model. Mine is a 1995 A32 Nissan Maxima QX very similar to the 1996 US model of the infiniti i30

Are there other cars like yours in your area which are not rusty.

Where do you live?

Could you afford to buy an other car like yours which is in better condition, then sell yours?

You will spend time and money repairing your car.

It might be worthwhile it if it were newer.

I haven't been able to find any arches for our cars online, I'm going to fix mine by finding good individual arches on salvage yard cars and use a reciprocating saw to cut them off, then weld them on.

Hi I live in the north of Oslo in Norway. It is almost impossible to get a car like mine, possibly in Germany. My car is treated with Fluid Film's rust treatment, made from a natural, lanolin oil-based formula, so it's mainly rust on the rear wheel arches L / H side. If I buy a new car then it might be an Infiniti fx 35 that has the VQ3.5DE engine

Yes it is a solution to take the rear wheel arches from a donor car. Regards Mican

I live In Oregon, on the west coast of the USA.
Road salt is not used here. Cars don't rust much. Mine has been parked outside for the 14 years I've owned it. No rust anywhere.

I thought that you might live in the USA. Parts of this country have areas where there are many rusty cars. Yet in the southern or western states, most cars are not rusty. So it makes sense to buy one somewhere and drive it home.
