APC Superwhite H3 fogs burnout....?
#1
I put in the APC 130W H3 bulbs into the stock foglights, and after about a month, the passenger side one blew. I replaced them both, and now, about a month later, the passenger side one blew again. Is there something wrong with the maxima wiring or something? Should I consider removing the stock fogs, and putting in PIAA HID fogs or something like that?

130w is way overwattage. No wonder they burn out. Ever notice how on a light bulb package (such as for your desk lamp) higher wattage bulbs have a shorter projected life than lower wattage bulbs? That pretty much answers your question.
I've heard of poeple using 85w for like 6 months before burning out. It doesn't surprise me at all that 130w (didn't even know they go so high) would burn out even sooner.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
don't use APC > 100W bulbs in your OEM fog enclosures
the exactly same thing happened to me, burned out in a month.
I believe the main problem is that they get too hot in those enclosures, you can't even touch the front glass without burning yourself. Just run stock bulbs, or find some other brighter 55W ones. But... feel free to put 100W bulbs in your headlights, just make sure you have the wire harness, nobody seems to have problems with that combo.

Correction: 100W bulbs, 130W Xenon Equivalence...but as you all say 100 is still too bright. On the other hand, how does PIAA HID pinpoint fogs look instead? Also, I have the higher wattage headlamps (which was why I wanted my fogs to match) but I don't have the harness. Is it necessary?

why buy APC they are $hit no name brand, they are good for taillights only!!
PIAA all the way!
55 or 85watt Super white H3's, they are more than enough for driving, they are alomost as bright as my headlights and look so good (85watt rewired independantly)
