I’m NOT A MECHANIC! As a matter of fact...I’m an insult to the word but I do like to fix things myself if possible. My problem Is limited experience and limited knowledge.
two days ago I got the po306 error code so I pulled the spark plug on #6 and it looked like fine so I swapped out the coil pack with an extra one i had I started the engine and it sputtered a little but after driving it a mile or so it seemed to smooth out.
well...the check engine light came back on with the po306 code again. I rechecked the connections and they all looked fine so now I’m at a loss.
here’s my question. Are the real expensive coil packs at the Nissan dealership any different than the coil packs you can get from EBay or Amazon?

you would want to go with an OEM nissan coil or go a hitachi replacement. there’s been members that have experienced issues with other replacements not being in spec with resistances. I would suggest you get either one, the hitachi is about $50 on amazon.

Clear the CEL. Then swap coils 4 and 6 and see if the problem/CEL moves to cylinder 4 when the CEL returns. If so, you know the coilpack is bad. Replace. If the code is still on cylinder 6 after the swap, then it's likely your fuel injector causing the issues.
