Solar Trickle charger. If you can park your car with the windshield facing south, you can prop it up like a heat shield inside the car. So it doesn't disappear!

That's my opinion as well.

I haven't tried this myself.

The concept makes sense.

Keep your battery teminsls clean.

Where abouts do you live, and how cold does it get there

I don't know what a battery heater is, but I've always lived in the south. Is your horn problem or something else draining the battery faster than normal? I recently put a new battery in my Max and have been leaving it disconnected while I continue to replace hydraulic clutch system parts, but each time I reconnect the battery is starts right up. Maybe a battery disconnect switch would help you, unless you're looking to keep the alarm active while the car is parked. How long is the "so much" that it sits at a time?

I've seen solar car battery chargers on Amazon and Ebay. They plug into the cigarette lighter.
I suppose that you could slide it between the glass moon roof and the sunshade.

As I recall, the cigarette lighter only works if the key is in the ignition. You will need to modify the connection at the fuse box. You need to connect the cigarette lighter wire to a junction which has 12v power all the time. A fuse needs to be between thar junction and the cigarette lighter of course.
Creative Wiring.....

The battery will charge when it's daylight. Even a bit when it's cloudy
