I changed the hood struts on my Maxima last night, in the dark with flashlights. At one point the hood came crashing down accidentally, perhaps disturbing electronics. This morning after I go to check her out - after a night of rain - I am shocked to see both front windows fully rolled down. I definitely didn't roll them down myself last night. This isn't the first time this has happened but last time I thought it was my uncle forgetting to roll the window up, and that time it was only the driver side window.

Is this a known bug? What fuse can I pull to disable the power windows?

First.... If you hold down the unlock button on the key fob, both front windows go down starting a few seconds after the door unlocks and continues down until bottom or letting go.

1. Start there. Key Fob? Family member? You with the keys in your hand and inadvertently pressing while carrying other things?
2. See 1

Thanks for the reply. Hmmm ... right you are. I happen to be parking my car near to my dwelling recently, and I changed the FOB battery. I remember a Scotty video about not using your FOB to unlock your car because thieves could sniff the signal. Maybe this is another reason to not use them Many towels were used to dry out seats and a space heater is now running inside. She'll live

Oh yeah, I washed tonight with Meguiar's Gold and a glove (and flashlights ); pics coming... someday.

This only applies to vehicles that use the push to start button. Your car uses a key, so this isn’t something to worry about. I’m with KP, you might have pressed and held the unlock button causing both windows to roll down.
