I was driving 40 in a 35 and I pass a Celica GTS and I get in the front of her. She switches lanes and gets next to me and I see her signal to get back infront of me so I hit the gas and I slow down and I see her coming up hard and when she gets even with me I floor my automatic and we are neck and neck. I even let go of the gas because I thought she would quit but she kept coming up so I kept flooring it to match her speed. We stayed pretty much even until about 100 and then I had a car on her and she backed off at around 110 and went behind me. She was on her cell phone and I don't think she knew how to shift worth ****. Anyways I beat her because I think she is just a sorry driver and I ruined her night. :=) Aren't Celica GTS supposed to run high 14s ?

On the way home I see a 2 door v6 red. we stopped at the light and I was going to take a left turn but I get next to him because he was looking at my car shaking his head. So I rev my engine and he doesn't do anything. Light turns green and I slowly go and I match his speed and he still doesn't do anything and all of a sudden he takes off and I floor my car. I get right next to him off the bat and I stay there till about 50 and then I am ahead of him. I ended up beating the guy by 2 car lengths. SLOW ACCORDS.

Anyways that's that.

Please tell me she had a hands free set, because I don't know about anyone else, but trying to race past 100 with a manual transmission, I don't want to be taking my hands off the wheel.

yeah, how do you race with a cellphone inhand? Was she holding the wheel with her left hand while shifting with the right WHILE holding the phone? I mean, what do you do, tell the person on the line to "hold on while I shift" every five seconds? hahaha, it had to have been handsfree!

OR MAYBE it was an AUTO GTS, not all of them are stick you know!

 

my friends sportshift gts is pretty slow. pretty sure a automatic stock maxima could take it out.

why is that so hard to beleive? i frequently hit 85+ in a 35 zone, its an empty street though, long wide and clearly visible.

I guess it was an auto Celica. I didn't know they came in auto so that explains it.

I did hit 100+ in a 35MPH Zone. The road was straight and there was no traffic except for behind us.

auto gts = high 16s quatermiles slower than a 5spd GT
