Any idea where you are leaking fluid? The first suspect is the high pressure power steering hose. I have 175,000 miles on my 2003 and I replaced the hose twice already. You will see fluid leaking on your garage floor near the front passenger side tire.

One end of the high pressure hose is visible inside the engine compartment near the fire wall. Follow it down the engine compartment and you can see where it connects. I replaced mine twice. They last about 60,000 to 80,000 miles for me. The little banjo joint is the difficult part to connect. Overall, it is not too complicated. YouTube is your best friend.

There is a picture in this post of what a high pressure hose looks like:

Mr. Tony … two questions:

(1) In what area of the country do you live?

(2) How often are you driving the car?

I live in the Tampa, FL area and my car typically sits for several days, maybe a week to a week and a half at a time.

I find that if the car sits and the outdoor temps drop (into the 40s, 50s, and maybe the low 60s) I’ll get some PS fluid seepage onto the garage floor. But, once the car is driven, the leak disappears.

I also don’t see any leakage during warmer months regardless of my driving frequency.

It’s apparent to me that my leak has to do with the shrinkage (and then expansion) of PS system seals due to a lack of operation and colder/cooler temps.

I haven’t, as of yet anyway, replaced any hoses or seals based on why and when the leak occurs.

You may be experiencing something similar.

my power steering fluid is way below the min, but I like the way it handles when it is running.

high speeds around corners feels better than any other car ive driven

anything wrong with that?
