Syphon out Gas

Hello guys . So almost a year ago I posted that my 1996 Nissan Maxima stoop running and I changed multiple parts to get it running but nothing worked . Thanks to all of I found out that the crankshaft position sensor in front of the engine wasn’t working . I ended up not replacing it but cleaning it and it turned on . But now after a year of not running his gas went to wasted and I never put gas stabilizer due to not knowing it exist . My new question is how do you guys syphon out the gas from a gen 4 maxima . I’ve tried using a autozone syphon mechanism didn’t work . I’ve tried covering the gas hole and blowing into it and having another hose in there didn’t work either . Is there an easy trick you guys use to take out the gas .

How much gas is in the tank now? Less than a year?

Might not be as bad as your thinking? Is it 93 Octane?

If you have a quarter tank in there, Just add 10 gallons of 93 and I'd bet it will run fine with no waste or disposal problems.

Year old gas in a car isn't as bad as you think. Fire it up! Add fresh gas if you can, otherwise don't worry about it. When you get down to a quarter or half tank, add fresh gas and go.

If you must, try this.
Amazon Amazon

There are cheaper versions at Autozone etc like this.

There’s no need to drain or siphon.

Fresh fuel plus a water removing additive will serve well.

Heet products have always been pretty good … you apparently reside in the Great White North anyway so this stuff can’t be foreign to you.

It’s three fourth of a gas ,a week before it broke down I had filled the tank . And I think it’s 93 Octane , it was Chevron’s premium so I believe it is .

at the moment it still has 3/4 of a tank, would I have to fill the remain with new gas or try to burn to 1/4 of gas before adding new ?

.If it were me, I'd fire it up and not even worry about it. Once it's hits half a tank, I would then add 1/2 a tank of fresh gas. Alternatively, you can fire it up and drive straight to the nearest Chevron and add 1/4 of fresh 93. Either way you'll be fine. You're over analyzing this.

Drained 10 gallons out from my tank just a week or so ago, I took the back seat out and just pulled the fuel pump and got at it with a $8 hand pump from harbor freight. Might not even be necessary like everyone else is saying though, tank had positive pressure when I popped it open so nothing got in. I just did it because I want to rule out every variable as im going through the process of getting it running again.
