Best way to lower now

It’s been a while since I been on the org and many parts I’ve used are no longer available? I’m looking to lower and tighten up my suspension and upgrade my brakes? What’s the best way to go these days ? I also want to get nice exhaust system and some new taillights

H&R springs with KYB struts if you care about ride quality, if not - coilovers

I agree that going the old fashioned way of lowering springs and struts is best.

BCs really aren't that bad. I actually liked the ride over JICs and the lowering spring/strut combo before that.

Good luck trying to find new h& r springs..I couldn't find them. I've used and currently use koni orange struts/ shocks with vogtland springs. Vogtland are made in Germany and are big with beemers and such. I have them on my 02 6spd se, my 95 5spd se and my wife's 99 solara v6 5spd. Absolutely no problems, sag or anything. Ride and handling is really good and drop is comparable to between eibach and h& r. My 2 cents.

Agreed.... Koni Orange STR-T struts are perfect for lowering your Maxima with shorter springs WITHOUT voiding the warranty... Which is a lifetime warranty. Don't think any of the others do this and most aren't recommended for use with shorter springs.

Get a set of coilovers and call it a day.

As for the rest of the suspension I would do control arms, sway bar end links, tie rod ends at the minimum if you’re not sure how old they are.

Brakes you can do the 6th gen upgrade.

Exhaust you can get a piping kit from TruBendz and grab a resonator and muffler of your choice.

Tail lights are discontinued afaik so open yours and customize them.

Just FYI Fortune Auto now makes coilovers for A32 and A33s, and from what I've read they're much higher quality than BCs, but they cost a little more. When I went from Koni yellows/Eibachs to BCs, my ride quality and handling both increased. But now they're 10 years ago, and my Fortune Autos should be arriving in a few weeks I'll post up a review after I get some seat time.

And +1 on the TruBendz exhaust piping kit. That's what I used to build my 3" exhaust and it was pretty awesome getting to choose exactly which resonator and muffler I wanted.
