Fuel injector

I replaced my fuel injectors because 3 were broken from the pintle cap. I bought injectors from ebay which seem to look exactly the same as the one I pulled but after only a day of driving it my maxima starter puttering and smelling like raw fuel and after sitting for a night it wouldn't start which was weird. I pulled out the injectors and found all 6 melted from the tip and o rings broken and ripped. I'm assuming this is the reason why fuel was leaking into the engine but does anyone know what may have caused this to happen?

Were the injectors installed correctly? The o-rings need to be lubed prior to installation. They should 'pop' right in with little to no force. Your o-rings look torn up and mangled. The o-ring on injector #2 is completely missing.

And did you buy factory refurbished, or used injectors off of Ebay?

Search my thread for e-bay Injectors.. its the O-orings.. They do not fit nor seal in the rail properly and allow the injector to fall.. it will hydrolock your engine, and quickly.

Take the caps off the ebay Injectors and install them on Your OEM ones, they Fit just fine. , and put them back In.. OEM or bust here. even if they are used...

Yup, seller sent different ones and o rings are different sizes o ring so I'm sending them back. I'm guessing the first ones seller sent me had warped or different size o rings which I should have noticed it before installing them. I ended up buying used oem injectors so hoping it won't happen again. Weird thing is I had drove the car and it was running smooth and even spun tires when I was doing 20mph and I floored it.

Yes I lubed them and they went in easy but o rings might have been warped or different size. o ring for injector 2 just fell apart when I touched it, it literally became gooey. They were "new" injectors but now I'm doubting it.
