My car will not stop sounding off the alarm and I do not have the key fob. I have already tried unlocking the door and opening the trunk but to no avail. I just recentlt changed out the ignition because I had lost the original set but later found them. Just drove the car about a day or two ago and parked it and now it won't stop sounding off the horn when I try and turn it on or turn the key please help the car is all up to date in my name and tagged ready to use however it is of no use with this issue.

Take your key and stick it in the front passenger side door and unlock it. Turn left or right I don’t remember which way but it will shut off the alarm instantly. Hope this helps. God bless!!!

Clarify a couple of things …

Currently, if the car is turned off and sitting, the alarm spontaneously activates.

When sitting, the alarm only activates once/if the car has been locked. The alarm won’t activate if the car is left unlocked.

You do not have the fob that matches the replacement ignition lock cylinder. So, to deactivate the alarm you have to manually unlock the car.

Also, when you try to start the car with the fob-less key that matches the replacement ignition lock cylinder, the alarm activates.

Are the above statements true or false?
