CYlinder Compression

Question: After a piston cycles one time, the compression on that cylinder is at its peak no matter how much we keep cycling it; right? I have a 1995 Maxima, and I was getting 125psi, I let it sit for about 20 min then continued cycling, the psi eventually got to 165. Is that normal?

Procedure.

Open throttle all the way.
crank for 5 or 6 pulses to the meter. The compression will peak .

Write down for each cylinder and tell us what you find.
We look for a pattern. The pattern can identify a worn engine, a problem with only 1 cylinder, or blown headgasket

Tell us why you are checking compression

That does not answer my question. But the answer to your question is cyl.1=125 psi cyl.2=145 cyl.3=150 cyl.4=125 cyl5=150 cyl.6= 135
