I was thinking a newer engine or a turbo, the engine is quite a bit cheaper but I will need to do more work, what should I do.

Small gains: y-pipe and catback, 00VI manifold swap
Big gains: Forced induction (turbo or Supercharger) + y-pipe, catback, manifold swap + tuning

I maintain thinking my F350 Crewcab isn't the excellent daily motive force. I've toyed with the concept of an early 90s civic (too vintage), or an Escort or Saturn wagon (too realistic). What I need now is an LTD LX with a five pace switch. I'd both have to build it or pay handsomely for a nice one, so that's out. I just like the idea of a more moderen Panther, but what I clearly assume I want is a 4th gen Maxima with leather-based and a five speed.
