Hey guys, replacing my cv axles on my 96 maxima today. I forgot to check before taking the old one out and cat find any videos of it showing my problem directly. Does this gold ring around the shaft going into the transmission stay visible or do I not have it in all the way, thank you.

 

that appears to be properly seated. it does not go in.
