Why is everyone lookin for emblems

Saw three wtbs in the forum. Members looking for emblems and M A X I M A emblems....

maybe some shaved theirs off, and decided they didn't like the look of it...also, the 97+ emblem writing was different from the 95/96...MAXIMA vs. M A X I M A...some, including myself like the look of the second one (95/96), and so maybe they're lookin for that...i could be wrong, just the way it looks to me

actually, I have gold and have always wanted silver.. I get my car back next weekend... and want to change it. I saw someone else's post and that sparked my memory that I wanted them.

that would be sweet to be able to take off my gold emblems and put some silvers back on...but then my parents would kill me cuz they paid the money for the gold package back when we bought the car...plus it would look kinda weird considering i have the two golden stripes that go around the car...
