I have not gotten any real new information. I can tell you that I have two contacts here in the US and one big contact in Taiwan that is doing some research to locate the manufacturer of those diamond cut bumper lights. Right now very few companies sell them because they are hard to get.

Anyone that wants a refund may return them to me and I will be happy to give you a full refund. I of course will not charge you the restocking fee. You all have my deepest apoligies, this has gotten out of hand. All I wanted to do is get you guys these lights cheaper then anyone else could, I trusted a supplier and now I am paying the price. I am going to have to pay for them all to be shipped back to my supplier in California which will cost me almost $1000. In the end I will have lost quite a bit of money, but hopefully I have not lost any customers.

Like I said before you may send them back and I will issue a full refund. My maxima.org buddies have always gotten special treatment from my usual customers cause i want to keep you all happy. Any questions feel free to email me. Hopefully soon I will have the REAL diamond cut bumper lights for sale and will price them lower then everyone else to save you all money.
-Thanks,
Greg

I just would like to know one way or another on how this deal is going to turn out, so I can either wait, or go ahead and order these lights through autodynamic.com.

So Greg, have you heard anything from Taiwan???
Are the 50 dollar ones that are on autodynamic.com the diamond cut ones? Here's a pic..

It says they are "euro clear", while the 40 dollar ones are just "clear"..

Well, there, I did it. I just ordered some D-cut lights from Autodynamic.com . I'm returning Greg's tomorrow. No hard feelings tho', I was about to install these supposed "D-cuts" but decided not to because these "D-cuts" are not the ones I paid for. Oh well, I still have many mods left to buy from Greg and I still will.

I was kind of thinking that is what he meant by the restocking fee or whatever that is?? And I am kind of confused why Greg would have to pay to ship them back to his supplier when they are the ones that screwed up??? Why would anything have to come out of his pocket on that transaction?? I understand him having to pay for the shipping back to him from us, but not back to the supplier. The supplier should cover that.

Also, Greg, you might want to put the returning info in this post. I would email you about it, but I figure there are lots of people that need this info, so might create less emails for you if you post that here. thanks

I'm going to give him a couple of weeks to see what can be worked out. If after those two weeks nothing has changed, than i'll just put those suckers on my car and live with it. The reason that I won't return them is because it won't get anything accomplished. Sure i'll get a refund, but that money will be spent on someone else's diamond cuts. And they'll probably be more expensive. It dosen't seem worth the hassle.

keep regular lights

I have the REAL diamond euro clears and I kept my regular white lights in. During the day, when you use the blinker, it's not THAT visible. I mean, if you stand up front, you can see it easily but 6 cars down, it may NOT be noticeable, however, at night, your car looks so phat...they look just like your head lights (manufacturer light), and if you changed some of your bulbs to brighter ones like i did, it won't match but it will look way better than the ambers...having all front white...i have a light colored car and it looked hot so i bet it looks re****youlous on a dark colored maxima. This may be the same with the clears (regular) but I wouldn't know....

Got my clear corners

I got my clear corners yesterday put them in with the ugly *** orange bulbs and ugghhh. Is there a law that says your turn signals have to be orange, I'm thinking of putting the old clear bulbs back in.

Personally, I like the amber bulbs with the clear lenses. I HATE the orange lenses though. I've even got them in my clearance lights.

In the same boat as everyone

hey everybody i'm glad to know that i wasn't the only one that was thinking that they didn't get what they ordered. i am in the same boat as everybody here. any updates/news from greg? i've just went through 10 pages or posts and my eyes are pretty tired right now, never read so much in such a lil span of time. i will begin to contact greg again to return these lights, because i really have to need for a set that already looks like my old clears. thanks god for this post, otherwise i woulda never known there's others that didn't get what they paid for.

Maybe he will respond soon with the info on that. Give him another day or two to make the calls etc. Since it is the weekend almost might be hard to get a hold of his suppliers etc.

hey guys, in response to returning. I sent him an e-mail about return instructions this is what he replied back to me :

Thanks for understanding, I appreciate it. I will continue to take care of all you guys with the coolest stuff for your maximas. Stuff like this happens some times, I just need to keep going. You can send it back to the address on the ups label. I will give you a full refund.

Thanks,
Greg

So when he says that we will recieve a full refund, does he mean $$$ for the corners + return shipping charges?

I don't know about all that. I feel pretty bad for Greg.. How much is the shipping? like 8$ ? Ossuming we paid for the shipping 1st time, the return would mean Greg is actually loosing like 8$ per person who wants to return them if he refunds the $ for shipping. Multiply 8$ by say, 300 people who want to refund it = lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$.. Then Greg needs to pay to ship all those sets back to his supplier which is also a lot of $$$$$$. This is going to suck. Either way, I'll bite the 8$ loss, no big deal.. Greg suffered enough on this whole deal and I'm sure he did his best. Only reason I want to return them is because they are regular clears which I can buy used for 10-20$ locally, that's if I decide to get regular ones, but if not, I still want the diamond cut ones, I'll just re-order them elsewhere, no big deal. I hope everything works out for everyone, hope custommaxima.com comes through this okay, most of us will deal with custommaxima.com again I'm pretty sure... I know I will, I understand **** happens..

Wrote Greg an e-mail & he responded. He told me I could keep my clears he sent to me & I could get $15 credit or send em back & get Diamond cuts or a full refund.

Yep, I still haven't heard a straight answer. Maybe some want to eat $7 or $8 to help out CustomMaxima.com, but given the circumstances I don't see how that is fair to anyone that ordered DC clears. And people keep saying that Greg has to pay for the shipping back to his supplier (think Greg said this too), and I mentioned this in a previous post. That sounds like crap. If my supplier screws up an order and sends me the wrong stuff, then my supplier needs to pay for that wrong crap to be shipped back to them, and then send me the right items (I would even feel that they should eat all shipping charges that are the result of this, Greg shouldn't have to pay for any of it)... This is all assuming that I didn't make a mistake on ordering my parts, or that I wasn't at fault in the given circumstances.

So lets just repeat the question again. Who is paying for shipping of the wrong parts from us back to CustomMaxima.com???

Thanks, I am not trying to dog Greg at all. I apreciate him giving Maxima owners another outlet to get parts through, just would like some things cleared up on this issue, and felt that there or others that might not speak up that would like to know as well.

Sorry if it sounded like I was not answering your question. If you return the lights I can give you a refund plus shipping charges. Yes I am paying several hundred dollars in shipping charges and their is nothing I can do about it but just learn from this disaster.

The supplier you bought them from is not taking any of the responsibility?

Normally, that is the responsibility of the recipient. Whenever you mail order something and it is defective or you are making a return, unfortunately you have to eat the return shipping. It is a no win situation for both parties...

Well, in some cases I believe that to be ture, but when you don't recieve what you ordered, then that is a totally different.
