Squeaky Pedals

I've noticed lately that my clutch and brake pedals are starting to squeak. I tried to spray some WD-40 on the joints but they're hard to get at. Anyone have any tricks they'd like to share for fixing this problem?
Thanks

Yeah, they both only squeak on release.

There is a "little" button/switch for each clutch and brake pedal. Actually there are two for the clutch- one for when you depress the clutch pedal and one for when its released. Lubricate the button(s) and the squeak will go away. I lubed the clutch release button and my pedal doesn't squeak anymore when i release my clutch.

For the brake pedal it is located near the pedal's pivot point. Turn on the engine (preferable) , press the pedal down and you'll have enough clearance for your finger to press that button/switch. The button is facing towards the front of the car.

For the clutch you can clearly see the "clutch-in" button. Its a skinny black button. The "clutch released" button is facing the front, just like the brake button/switch. You'll have to depress the clutch pedal to feel the button.

Thanks
Also, I used a silicone lube spray to lubricate the springs and the misc. pedal assembly parts. I covered my pedals with a plastic bag and lined the carpet with paper and sprayed a light mist. I had a multipurpose grease gun dispenser and it was a PITA using that to lube the recommended points. I have no problems whatsover with the silicone lube spray. It will last a lot longer than wd40. But based on what you wrote I have a feeling the cause of the squeaking are those button/switches.

EDIT: I also want to suggest that you use something other than wd40 for those switches. Use some type of grease. It will last a lot longer.
