It's great to purchase items that are discontinued !!!!!

I was ready to buy this head unit (kenwood DPX 4010) for 316.99 and it was discontinued but still showing that it could be purchased on the site, so i email them saying i'm ready to purchase it, just wanted to make sure they still had it in stock, and they email me back saying they ran out but they'll give me the upgraded model (Kenwood DPX 4020) which looks a lot better and has better stuff on it...I'm waiting for my credit card bill to come in so i can purchase this through credit and not have to worry bout it till next month, but this a great deal right?

I get at same price

I should go for it right?

Heck why not go for the upgrade at the same price. Getting more for less always sounds good.

TOO MANY OPTIONS

I just saw the kenwood DPX 4010 on ebay for the first time!! it's 2 months used but the dude says it looks brand new and right now it's at 182 bucks, something that is cheapest 316....i'm thinking i'll wait to the last day and if i can get it for under 250 i'll go for it, otherwise, i'm going after the 4020...what do u guys think?

wow 182? Not bad around half off or so. But on Ebay alot of people bet on that stuff at last minute so it might be tough to get that price.

Very true. Just put down the maximum bid and forget about it. If you get an e-mail confirming that you won, then you'll be happily surprised. If not, just move on and get the other unit. Either way, at least you'd have covered both sides as best you can.
