Car is too loud.....

My car has a popcharger, budget y-pipe and aftermarket straight through exhaust. Will the car be noticeably quieter if i install back the OEM air intake??

Everyone tells me that it's the aftermarket exhaust that creates or allows this noise. You need the intake. Do a search on which exhausts are quieter but still yield HP gains. My Stillen is louder than others from what members say.

My Greddy catback with a ypipe and RT cat was loud. It roared. Just put the stock muffler back on. Just weld it on to your b pipe. That will help alot!!!!!

Good call

Stock Muffler should do it. I had a str8 muffler on mine and it was horribly loud, but I put a quiter muffler along w/ a resonator and it helped out a lot.

Put the stock muffler back on. You will have a cool little growl when you get on the gas, but at constant speed (not acceleration) you won't even know your car is modified. Aftermarket muffler is good for about .045933345319295 HP. Getting rid of the intake will lose much more power, and your exhaust sound will still be loud, it won't change. To get rid of exhaust sound you have to change the muffler.

Well i lost the stock muffler over 2 years ago, had a flowmaster for a while which sounded nice, but that was before the ypipe and intake. Right now i have an arospeed generic muffler, it did have a silencer but fell out somewhere along the road, had tightened it by hand. how much are factory mufflers running?
