DTC 0908 diagnostic help

Hi there, newbie here...

I have a 96 SE. The check engine light went on over the weekend. I followed the instruction to get the DTC, and it returned 0908 which is a coolant temp sensor malfunction.

Since this is the first time I try to work on a car, I need help.

Questions:

First of all, am I look at the right thing?

If so, I couldn't quite reach it, so I follow the wiring to a conector, detached it, and measured the resistance between the two leads (see pic 2: red dots indicate the wire I traced, yellow circles the connector). I couldn't get a reading. Does that mean the sensor is bad, or am I doing something wrong?

Third, if in case the sensor bad, how can I replace it? What kind of tools would I need?

Thanks!!

EDIT: direct link to imagestation doesn't seem to work. to view pics please cut and paste addresses above. thanks!

Thanks for the reply!

I have already looked search for info on 0908 before. The reason I posted this thread is to confirm with you guys to see if I am performing the diagnostics correctly.

I don't exactly know what I am doing...
