When you upgrade go get yourself some of the KYB AGX struts. Best ones out there for us right now.

They will last for exactly 1879200 more seconds, or 43.5 days.

Enjoy.

The SE stock shocks seem to take quite a bit of abuse. The GXE ones are softer and probably won't last too long... you may want to get onto one of the GD on the AGX... since you have to have to take them out anyways with the springs.

recently BrianV and maybe a few others mentioned that they are now having them blow out. Might wanna save up for the AGX's.

Glad to see you got some springs on the way. Go ahead and get struts though before you put them on. Looks like we need another meet.

It depends if you plan to replace the suspension yourself (i.e. free labor) or take it to a shop. The labor involved is the same whether you change the springs, shocks, or both. So, if you are taking it to the shop, just get new springs and shocks, it will save you labor costs. I would recommend KYB AGX...I've had them two months now and they are excellent. Better than my old Tokicos.

If you plan to do the labor yourself, then if you don't mind the work, you can replace your shocks anytime you want.

If you lower your car, your stock struts will go bad.. just a matter of time or days. not sure on the best place to buy KYB's, but I need to start looking cause I will be getting those soon.

When my stock struts went bad my car was VERY bouncy over speed bumps. There are about a million of them in Tampa and they also contribute to the degradation of your struts. Whenever possible (even with stock struts) you should always creep over speed bumps to save them for the stuff you CAN'T avoid. Other people may have experienced different symptoms, but my main complaint was the bouncy-ness.
