Window tint for a beige Maxima

I'm planning on getting tint on the rear windows soon. I was thinking of bronze, but I've heard metallic tint can interfere with cell phone reception. True? What looks good? I'm leaning towards 35% tint ...

I had 20% bronze tint on my rear windows and 35% bronze tint in front. I could see out of them fine and cell phone reception was fine.

bronze

Bronze is great. A lot of my styling taste comes from one of the original members of the maxima bbs, Andi.

Can't go wrong with black. I don't really like the bronze tint but to each his own. I have 35% front 20% rear black Llumar tint.

Re: bronze

I remember Andi's car. I think he was running 35% bronze all around. I had a Taurus SHO at one point that had like 5% in back. I couldn't back up at night. Daytimes was tough too!

Is that tinted front and rear? Metallic? I know the cops frown on front tint, but 35% isn't toooo obvious ...

I live in Ga and 35% on all windows is legal except the front windshield.....I think it looks better to have all of your windows one shade if you like 5%,20%,50%,15% put it on all the way around it looks better......

legality

Here in California it's 50/50 that the cops will pull you over for front side window tint. They are paranoid that they can't see who you are, or where your hands are, during a traffic stop. Why give them the excuse? On the other hand, I get left arm sunburn in the summer. I agree the full tint looks better.

Methinks bronze doesn't look that good, and mirror tint is pretty gay (does anyone really do that for any of the common purposes of tinting, or do they just want people to look at their car, including cops?)

I suggest the best black you can buy - at the tinting place I went to, they described it as like, "platinum black"...when I say that, most people think "mirror tint". All I know is, it was the most black and the most expensive out of all 3 black kinds they had, and they said it doesn't purple out nearly as soon as cheaper kinds.
I know someone that got the same kind of tint about, maybe, 3 years ago, and its still solid black.

But if you can't go under 35%, it may not even be worth it, and those cali cops would probably frown upon even 35% in the front. I have mine mismatched right now because the law got me here, and it looks pretty shoddy. I'd much rather have uniform tint. You just can't win :/

I got 35% smoke gray. It looks alright. Darker probably would have looked better, but one issue is that my daughter disliked the very dark tint I had on the SHO because she likes to look out the window (and I like to be able to back up at night). Also, because I didn't tint the front, this doesn't look so conspicuous. I think the stock glass has a slight tint to it, and with the darkened interior it almost looks like a 5 window tint. I also had them put some on the front to the A10 line. That I should have done darker, but I figured that with the tint on top of the windshield it would be darker already.
