Window tint for a beige Maxima
Window tint for a beige Maxima
I'm planning on getting tint on the rear windows soon. I was thinking of bronze, but I've heard metallic tint can interfere with cell phone reception. True? What looks good? I'm leaning towards 35% tint ...
bronze
Bronze is great. A lot of my styling taste comes from one of the original members of the maxima bbs, Andi.

I live in Ga and 35% on all windows is legal except the front windshield.....I think it looks better to have all of your windows one shade if you like 5%,20%,50%,15% put it on all the way around it looks better......
legality
Here in California it's 50/50 that the cops will pull you over for front side window tint. They are paranoid that they can't see who you are, or where your hands are, during a traffic stop. Why give them the excuse? On the other hand, I get left arm sunburn in the summer. I agree the full tint looks better.
Methinks bronze doesn't look that good, and mirror tint is pretty gay (does anyone really do that for any of the common purposes of tinting, or do they just want people to look at their car, including cops?)
I suggest the best black you can buy - at the tinting place I went to, they described it as like, "platinum black"...when I say that, most people think "mirror tint". All I know is, it was the most black and the most expensive out of all 3 black kinds they had, and they said it doesn't purple out nearly as soon as cheaper kinds.
I know someone that got the same kind of tint about, maybe, 3 years ago, and its still solid black.
But if you can't go under 35%, it may not even be worth it, and those cali cops would probably frown upon even 35% in the front. I have mine mismatched right now because the law got me here, and it looks pretty shoddy. I'd much rather have uniform tint. You just can't win :/
