It would also be even better if he did the foglight rewire.
Since I did that, I use my fogs as running lights during the day because now I can have them on without the headlights on.

are those things really that white in person?
I've spent the last 25 minutes reading all the feedback i can read on Nokya bulbs and people say they have a definite blue tint in them..
I just want something pure white.. no yellow and no blue..
is it too much to ask?

I used to have Nokya headlight bulbs. And yes, they are very bright. They are the brightest non-HID bulbs that I used so far. I don't remember them being very blue though. Pretty white to me.

if anyone is interested in running bulbs that are not stock wattage.. get the upgraded wire harness..
i am reading about a lot of people burning out their stock sockets..
www.southwestautoworks.com sells the upgraded harness for like 15$.. and they sell the Nokya bulbs there as well.. get them together
i'm wondering if i should too![Big Grin](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
if there is no blue.. that'd be nice.

too bad i don't have the money, and even if i did, i'd get my car lowered first...
but that looks tight!

Yeah! we¡¯re in the same boat!
I need to lower my max, too¡¦ it looks like 4x4 to me.
However, my headlight socket was all melted down thanks to high-wattage bulbs and I didn¡¯t have a choice.
IMHO, Hanabi 8000K is worth every penny.
Much brighter and bluer than any Lexus or Porsche.

Get wire harness or use regular blulbs.

So PIAA's, SilverStars, and Nokyas are what one would choose from for white lights in stock wattage?

Don¡¯t get PIAA because they are pretty yellow even they claim its hyper white.
I personally don¡¯t like Nokyas and I had no experience with silverstar.
I had eurolite and they¡¯re white but not close to the real HID.
If I was you I rather save money and buy HID someday!
That¡¯s what I did after spent a lot of money and time on HID look a like.
If you really want white color and don¡¯t want to spend lots of money then I could sell you mine. I¡¯ve two pairs of like new 80/100 high wattage bulbs.
Yours for $20 priority shipped.
Those are pretty bright and white but like I said not even close to the real HID.
If you want to buy mine or any high wattage make sure you upgrade your wire harness (around $35) before you ever thinking about put them in your car!

Nokya = Blue ![Frown](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
You can't even see them hit the road in the rain. Absolutely no visibility at all in bad weather.
Check these out....

Maybe you will like my old setup of Polarg bulbs with KMAX Superwhite 55/65 watt 4200K xenon bulbs.

At the time I thought it was pretty cool, but then I realized that I was just looking a little ricey so I went ahead and added HIDs to my Christmas list.
Hella 5200K HIDs w/ JamStrait Amber Hyper-Bright LED Bulbs
Like others have said, if you do choose to go with the higher wattage bulbs, please get the upgrade harness, it'll help, but for some reason it still didn't hold up on my Nokya bulbs, the harness' sockets melted as well. All Xenon bulbs even the Silverstar ones aren't as bright as OEM bulbs, especially when used in the fog lights. Other than HIDs, ion yellow bulbs are the brightest in the fog lights. I truly suggest just sticking with regular clear bulbs and saving up for a set of HIDs. I'm so used to my headlights that it seems like I'm driving with the headlights off when I drive my girl's car with xenon bulbs. Just my 2 cents.

I just tried the XD5's and they're too blue for me. Advertised as 5,100 Kelvin, pure white, etc. I didn't find that to be the case, so I'm looking for an alternative. . .
I agree w/ the other guy: no blue, no yellow, just white - too much to ask?
Ugh. Frustrating.
