Spend $10, get a Haynes manual and look under transmission (I think), they should tell you how to test your switch.

$10 is a worthy investment
Thought I'd add, the Haynes manual is a plethora of information. It might not be as detailed as a FSM, but it'll usually fix your problem OR point you in the right direction.
If you've narrowed the problem down, it'll also help the more knowledgeable folks on the .org to diagnose any problmes beyond your ability.
(Plus, alot of folks won't wanna help if the question is dumb, and the person didn't take the effort to at least troubleshoot)
