Yes I am a Moron

i was cleaning my intake yesterday and i forgot to plug the maf sensor back in and i started the car and the CEL came on and then i remembered so i pluged it back in but now the CEL won't go off. My question is.. do i have to reset the ECU or will it eventually go off?

Yup, yup, I have done that too. Just reset the ECU and the light will go off.

After a week or so of driving it will eventually turn off by itself.

Same as reseting it but you need to disconnect it for more than 2-3 hours.

When I did the same thing, I unplugged my battery for 14 hours and it didn't reset.

I then read the forum (thi is back when I was a newbie), reset the ECu, and viola!

Disconecting the battery doesn't always work, and has never worked for me.
