Anyone here tried to remove block coolant drain bolts ?

Anyone here tried to remove block coolant drain bolts ?

Got under the car yesterday and I could barely see it let alone putting socket or wrench on those bolts.

How do you get to those bolts from above? side?

How does the dealer do it ?

How does the dealer do it ?
The dealer probably has some special tool which is why they think they can justify waht they charge.

I did manage to get them off with extensions and a u joint, but they were a royal pita, especially the back one, which kept leaking. I had to retighten it twice. I only got about a pint of fluid out of both so next time I'm not going to bother with them.

I agree you don't get a whole lot of fluid to drain out so it's probably not worth the time and effort to drain from them.
