Oxygen Sensor problem

Oxygen Sensor problem
Hi,
I have 99 Max, and recently the service engine light is on. A local shop read the code and change the sensor with nissan part. But the light came back on again, so the shop replaced the o2 sensor for the second time thinking it maybe a defective one. After a few days the light came back on again!
I followed the instructions for the ecu self diagnostic, and I got the 0901 code (right heated o2 sensor). I reset the light a couple of times, and everytime the light seems to come on when it was very cold outside.
I just went to the shop again today, and they double check the connections and they are ok. As for the car, It doesn't feel any different and drives fine.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Pulled the code every time?
I do not have any mod on the intake, the car is pretty much stock. I understand there are 3 o2 sensors. 2 fronts and 1 in the back. I got the code 0901 and that means the right heated o2 sensor, so I am assuming this is the front.

Jeez I dunno,
but maybe your wiring is bad from the clip back, follow me? Like say the O2 sensor you just had replaced was pefect, but from the clip where you unplug it back is shorted or melted or something. Psssibility i guess, but frst Ive ever heard of it if its the problem.
At this point your guess is good as mine, try everything.
Let us know.

I think the right bank sensor is actually the front O2 sensor on the rear exhaust pipe (the one leading to the ypipe..the "rear" bank if you looking from the front).
I remember replacing my left bank O2 sensor and it was the one near the radiator fans. Think of the right and left banks like this. If the engine were mounted with the drivebelts facing forward (like on an inline engine), the left would be the drivers side, the right would be passenger side. Hence, right O2 sensor is the one on the "rear" bank of cylinders on the Maxima.
If your mechanic has been replacing the wrong sensor (the left bank instead of right) that would explain why you keep pulling the code.
