Not sure what you mean by 'how' sex.? How does one shave his/her doorhandles? How does one shave his/her stock antenna? How does one shave his/her windshield squirters? The answer is you take it to a body shop that has experience in shaving and have them remove your key cylinder, fill it in, sand, prime, etc. and then paint the WHOLE (yes the whole) trunk. Be prepared to spend several hundred minimum.

what bodyshop do you use??? Fill a hole that size with bondo and give it a few months and see what happens. i dont know where you guys get this perception that you fill every hole with bondo. Bondo does not have magical powers to make holes go away.
i would take it to a body shop that does custom work and they do it on a readily basis. To be done right, the whole is welded with metal and like said before..the WHOLE trunk is painted.

it's a short and sweet answer. why would you take my word as gospel; am I walking on water here? you are correct in thinking that the whole trunk needs to get repainted, but I don't believe that the hole needs to be welded over. of course I could be wrong, but it sounds a bit hard to get everything to look right if you actually do metal work there.

Josh, (Swafford98) works in a body shop. And yes, you cannot fill that hole with just bondo. Do that, and the hole will cave in within 6 months, as soon as the temperature changes. I know a few body shop guys, and everyone agrees that the proper way is to pull the lock cylinder, weld a metal plate in, grind it down, and then use a small amount of filler to smooth everything up. A lot of shops will use only bondo, but that's the ghetto way, and the car will look like crap after a while. And it isn't cheap, that's why I had mine done when they were painting the car already.

You forgot the antenna Shadow! What's up with that?

P.s. yes, my guy welded a plate from behind and filled in from the front.
