Car not starting... Help please...
Car not starting... Help please...
I'm posting here as well as audio/electronics because I think I may have extended my problem beyond the initial LCD installation problem.
In installing a DVD player/TV, somehow the following problem started.
There is a new problem.. A rather big one..
My car doesn't start. All the electronics work fine... I go to start the car and it completely dies (after a quick click). All the lights go out and the car is dead. turn the key back and try again but there is no juice.. However as I slam the door to get out and take a look, the electronics come back on but when I try to start her up, dead again..
I go to the battery, remove the positive terminal and replace it and then i can start my car... turn it off and try again and it won't start.
Since this started earlier today, I have removed the power feeding the DVD/TV setup and this is still happening.. I was powering it directly from the battery.
Have I F'ed something up bad?
Thanks for any help..

Is shutting the door jarring a loose wire? Double check that all your connections are tight and not shorted. Also, clean your battery terminals and start the car and let it run for a few minutes to charge the battery back up. IT is possible for everything to look like it's functioning properly - the battery may have enough power to light up switches and stuff but may not have enough to turn the engine over. I would suspect you had the radio or some other device on while you were doing the install and ran the battery down. Good luck.
Re: Car not starting... Help please...
The problem is the battery you need to either tighten the heads, replace them or do what i did replace both of them. Another suggestion is to get another battery and put it in the trunk and run all of your electronics off of that..
