Anyway to check which O2 sensors are dead for a 95?
Anyway to check which O2 sensors are dead for a 95?
I just filled up my last tank and I got 17 mpg with 50/50 c/hwyk driving
.
Last tank was 22 and the one before 23. I figured that was in-line with what I was driving. My guess is one of the 4 O2 sensors are dead either that or all of them are dead
?
Any way for me to check and see which O2 sensor is dead? I understand the 95s engine light does not come on?

Don't know why your MIL won't light but you can test em one by one with a digital voltmeter. Check for correct signal voltage on each. Then check the battery voltage supply and resistance of each O2 heater.
Too bad you don't have an OBDII plug to just scan it

Beleive me you that light does work. The 95s are known for faulty or over sensative OS2 sensor. In my case whenever my wife uses cheap gas my check engine light comes on even though I've have the sensors replaced a while ago. Once I put in 93 octane the light goes back off after a few tanks. I just hate when it comes on cause I never know if its a true issue....
Why not?

You could be tripping the knock sensor, not the O2 sensor, with cheap gas.

My 2nd O2 sensor is bad. I just took my car to my mechanic and he hooked it up to the machine and told me which one it was...
