The CAI may make better fuel economy, but that is more due to the driver's driving habit than anything else. I recently added a CAI to my Max, and the 1st thing I noticed was the the torque band had fattened up all over the place. I guess the CAI added 3 ft-lb across the entire rev band. Because of that, I tend to be more likey to shift gears at lower RPMs, like 2500 instead of 3000. Because of that, I get better fuel economy
Of course, this was after I went thru the lead footing phase just to see how much the CAI opened up the car
