CAI

The CAI may make better fuel economy, but that is more due to the driver's driving habit than anything else. I recently added a CAI to my Max, and the 1st thing I noticed was the the torque band had fattened up all over the place. I guess the CAI added 3 ft-lb across the entire rev band. Because of that, I tend to be more likey to shift gears at lower RPMs, like 2500 instead of 3000. Because of that, I get better fuel economy Of course, this was after I went thru the lead footing phase just to see how much the CAI opened up the car

Yeah if I drive normaly it will beat what the max is suppose to get per gallon by maybe 2 miles. But that is only when I feel like my grandma.

I installed a Stillen Hi-flow intake and a GReddy Catback exhaust system at about the same time 3 years ago. I got an immediate 10% gain in mpg. My best gas mileage to date is 32+ mpg, 480 miles on 14.9 gallons (US)! On that tank, most of the driving was on a highway, during which time I drove behind a big black Mercedes for 40 minutes at 100+ mph. Pretty good for a northern hemisphere car, if I do say so myself...
