CEL - How do I reset it?

I've done it a year ago or so and I can't remember how. YES I DID DO A SEARCH! It only yielded answers like "disconnect the battery for so many hours, etc." That doesn't always work and is not how I did it before. I looked at maximadriver.com and it wasn't clear.

RESETTING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

To reset the engine light is a simple procedure.

1. Turn the selector screw clockwise to its stop.
2. Wait 2 seconds.
3. Return back by turning the screw counterclockwise to its stop.
4. IMMEDIATELY REPEAT steps 1 to 3.

The next time you start your engine, the check engine light should go away!

It is probably a good idea to get the code to see why it went on in the first place before you reset it. Instructions are in that site that NickStam mentioned.

Yeah, I got the code - bad o2 sensor (right bank). I replaced it with a bosch 1 year ago. Maybe that was a mistake. Anyway, turning the screw as instructed in the above post DIDN'T WORK. C'mon, somebody knows the right way...The sad thing is that I've done it before but can't remember how.

Since the above procedure didn't work for you try to disconnect your negative battery terminal for 24 hours. My Chilton manual says that will clear the diagnostic memory but I'm skeptical.
